Quality Inn Downtown Historic District

UPDATED: I stayed at this inn from July 30 to August 1, 2025, returning after a previously positive visit. Unfortunately, this stay didn’t live up to expectations. The first night was disrupted by loud guests arguing outside into the early morning hours, around 1:50 a.m., and I’m surprised this went unnoticed by staff. My room had several issues as well: the A/C display wasn’t functional, making it impossible to adjust the settings; there was no remote for the TV; the bathroom light fixture had only one working bulb, which began flickering the morning I checked out; and a wall outlet sparked noticeably when I plugged in my phone charger. If this had been my first experience, I likely wouldn’t have returned. For context, I did not adjust the rating since this is a follow-up to my original post and Google does not allow multiple reviews for separate visits. Review from March 2025 I read some of the negative comments, although I'm not disputing them, I personally cannot say I saw nor experienced any of what they are saying. It is an older hotel, which obviously will not be plush or have the amenities upscale hotels have, but my room was clean, smelled fresh, GREAT water pressure in the shower (I had a difficult time wanting to get out of the shower), and the customer service was phenomenal. The desk clerk, I did not get his name, but he worked the evening/overnight shift on Saturday, March 29th, and the lady when I checked out the morning of Sunday, March 30th, were very friendly and I definitely will consider staying in this hotel again if I find myself back in Mobile. Also, its location downtown is convenient. I came to see the SS United States on a boat tour, and it was very close to where I needed to be.

I had a horrible weekend and decided another night before travel would be helpful. I hit the front desk drained and expecting hassle. Shahrazad Coates and as working the front desk and helped ease me. She was helpful and thoughtful. The manager Shantell J was absolutely amazing with 10/10 customer service and an absolutely stellar personality. Keep up the great work and thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable!!

Had to get 3 differt keys first one would not work changed room 2nd one green light but door would not open 3rd time charm it worked comfortable room only stayed one night.
